NEW MEETING TIME 10:30
Like so many nonprofits, VFW Post 112 is having a hard time raising the funding they need to continue the work they have done since January 1920, due to the pandemic.
Commander Martin Garcia said because of shutdowns in the community they haven’t been able to raise funds like they normally would.
Garcia says since October, The post has been offering no change mental health clinics for veterans and first responders -- shutting down the post would really affect them.
These men and women have given so much. Now they need our help
Post 4 has decided to reopen as of Tuesday December 1st. Please continue to wear a mask until seated, eating or drinking. We will also observe social distancing (Families excluded).
The city of Valley Center is immensely proud to sponsor the Moving Wall and have it visit Valley Center, Kansas. We hope to bring to the veteran and families and friends of those who died or are missing in Vietnam (to this day) a small healing. The intention is to help close old wounds, and not to open them. To educate the present generation about the war in Vietnam and its impact on our nation and our veterans.
This event is in the next phase of development.
Volunteers are needed as the wall will be accessible to the public 24 hours a day during this period.
More information to follow as it becomes available
