Each year The Nation Of Patriots carries and passes of one American Flag across the 48 continental states.The flag is traditionally transported on the back of a motorcycle. The Patriot Tour begins and ends in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.This event was created to honor ALL military: enlisted, veterans, military families and the fallen. This is the fund raiser to financially support for disabled veterans and their families.
You don't have to ride a motorcycle to participate. You can drive your car, truck and any other vehicle. So don't miss out!

Please be to the Post 136, 410 SE Louis Dr. Mulvane KS by 10:00 am. Kick Stands Up (KSU) at 10:15 am. We are meeting the Pawhuska Post at the Walmart in Winfield - 2202 Pike Rd .
We will escort them back to Madrocks - 1821 E Madison Ave #100 Derby for a short ceremony and lunch to follow.

Please be to the Post 136 by 7:30am. KSU 7:50am, We will be taking the flag to Hideout Harley-Davidson 5014 S Main St, in Joplin Mo.

American Legion Post 4 has re-opened as of Monday May 4th at the normal time, 4 PM. Please do what you are comfortable with, if you want to wait awhile longer that is up to you. You are welcome to wear mask, gloves or whatever your comfortable doing. Please be aware there may be some that might not wearing a mask. Please try to observe the 6 ft. social distance. Immediate family that you live with are not going to be forced to sit 6 ft. apart. Drinks will be served in plastic cups.
There will be no scheduled dinners until May 29th.
Most evenings there will be "Bar Food" available (cash only) if the cooks are present. It is very good if you haven't tried it.
As for meetings there will be a ALR meeting on May 7th & 21st. SAL meeting on the 7th is pending. There will be no Legion Auxiliary, Kansas Honor Flight or Marine League meetings in May. Watch for update regarding these coming back possibly in June.

The 107th VFW Auxiliary National Convention has been cancelled.
Central Kansas Veteran Coalition (Hutchinson) the coalition meeting scheduled for Friday, April 10th at Gambino's Pizza has been cancelled.
American Legion Post 4 Chaplain Henry Womack Sr. has informed us Church will be canceled until May 3rd.
The Vet 2 Vet luncheon for May is pending a decision watch for updates.
Effective immediately, Team RWB is suspending all in-person events.
Logan' s Heroes Wednesdays has been cancelled - All restaurants closed until further notice. Thanks Logan's for your support.
For veterans wanting to put their discharge documents on file - The Sedgwick County Register of Deeds Office will close its doors to the public.

The Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center Emergency Department (ED) is moving Saturday, February 1, 2020.
As part of the opening of the hospitals new ED, emergency room operations will shift from the current entrance in Building #1. The new ED is still on the VA’s campus, but is located on the west-side of the Medical Center.
If you are in need of emergency care before then, please go to the current Emergency Department in Building #1.
Will signs or markers be available to show people where to go? Yes, new signs are in place and will be uncovered to help guide patients to the new ED once it opens on Saturday, February 1, 2020.
Patients in the old ED will be taken to the new space for continued care.
