Vietnam Veterans Day Ceremony  at Veterans Memorial Park is canceling the ceremony on 29 March. 

Honor Flights for April have been Cancelled. 

American Legion Post 4  Chaplain Henry Womack Sr. has informed us Church will be canceled until May 3rd. 

American Legion Post 4  with concern for their members the Post will be closed for the next couple weeks. This will be effective until April 1st. 

Effective immediately, Team RWB is suspending all in-person events. 

Logan' s  Heroes Wednesdays has been cancelled - All restaurants closed until further notice. Thanks Logan's for your support.

For veterans wanting to put their discharge documents on file - Effective March 18, 2020, the Sedgwick County Register of Deeds Office will close its doors to the public.

Thanks to Representative Dan Hawkins for getting us a site that lists  the counties of Kansas for your reference to check on Covid-19 developments.

WICHITA, Kan. – Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center to recognize all Vietnam-Era Veterans during commemorative pin ceremony.

Where: 5500 E Kellogg Ave, Wichita Ks. – Transitional Living Center (TLC) changes 

Purpose:  To recognize, thank and honor United States military Veterans who served during the Vietnam War period.

FIRST Annual Poker run

In support of Vet 2 Vet Support Command

  •  Registration begins at 8:00 am, First Bike/Car out at 10:0 am sharp!
  •  Breakfast will be served $8.00 per person from 8:00 am – 9:30 am, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, potatoes, pancakes and more! 
  • All proceeds from the poker run will go to VET to Vet Support Command, Inc. 
  • $20.00 per rider, $5.00 for passenger and $5.00 per extra hand 
  • Best hand and worst hand will win. Winning prize is to be determined.
  • All cards must be turned in by 4:00 pm 
  • A raffle will be held at Beaumont Hotel. Tickets will be $1.00 or 6 tickets for $5.00
  • Buffet will be served at Beaumont Hotel for $10.00 per person. Pulled pork, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, water, tea & coffee.

Dole VA ER has moved as of Feb 1

IMPORTANT Information

The Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center Emergency Department (ED) is moving Saturday, February 1, 2020.

As part of the opening of the hospitals new ED, emergency room operations will shift from the current entrance in Building #1. The new ED is still on the VA’s campus, but is located on the west-side of the Medical Center.

If you are in need of emergency care before then, please go to the current Emergency Department in Building #1.

Will signs or markers be available to show people where to go? Yes, new signs are in place and will be uncovered to help guide patients to the new ED once it opens on Saturday, February 1, 2020.

Patients in the old ED will be taken to the new space for continued care.
