Stand Downs are events during which VA staff and volunteers provide food, clothing, and health screenings to homeless and at-risk Veterans. In addition, Veterans also receive referrals for health care, housing solutions, employment, substance use treatment, mental health counseling, and other essential services.

In Wichita/Sedgwick County, our annual Stand Downs are open to all homeless individuals and families, not just Veterans.

Dole VA is hosting our seventh Stand Down since 2017 on Friday, October 10, at Hyde Park. We’ll make a bigger impact with your support. Here are opportunities for you to get involved and help us fight homelessness in our community.
