 This Saturday is the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at the Epic Center.

Please join us for the opening ceremony and check out the traveling exhibit that will be escorted in by the communities finest.  

Team RWB is looking for walkers, runners, and ruckers to help move Old Glory around Sedgwick County park (4 mile outer loop) in support of 9/11 remembrance. (There are shorter loops if you do not want the 4 mile loop.)

This is the 9/11 Moving Tribute that we have put on for many years. 

The event is on Wednesday Sept 11 from 7 AM to approximately 8 PM. 

If the old guy in the phot can do this - YOU CAN TOO.

September 9, Monday.  Send Off KHF 100.  Volunteers arrive at airport at 5:30 unless already given assignment to come earlier.  For free parking, you must park on top 4th floor of the parking garage AND get a pass from Team Leader David Blanding, Joe Hobbs or Lloyd VanDever.

September 11, Welcome Home KHF 100.  Red Roof Inn, 6815 W Kellogg Drive.  Volunteers arrive at 11AM unless  been given an earlier assignment.  With this being a milestone flight, we are having a special pre-arrival ceremony for the audience at 12:30 to honor some of our longtime supporters receive presentations.  (Doing everything during the regular ceremony would make it too long for the veterans who are tired from the trip). We expect a huge crowd and have some fans to keep the area cooler.  As usual, seating for the crowd is limited so feel free to bring a chair if you would like to sit.  Contact David Blanding dbland5767@aol.com

September 20, Friday.  8th Annual Maize Eagles Cheer Kansas Honor Flight Night, Maize High School 11600 W 45th N.   This will be the biggest yet.  American Legion Riders are making plans to participate, and Tornado Alley Young Marines will provide the Color Guard.  Volunteers arrive before 6PM to greet riders and take photos.  Bring aluminum cans for the KHF Camo Allmetal Recycling bin.  There will be Miracle Minutes in the stand during the game raising funds for KHF so we will help with that.  Students during the week will also be able to donate change inside the school.  All veterans get free admission to the game with ID.   KHF wear your shirt for admission.

September 21, 8th Annual Kansas Kruisers Summer Daze Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show,  Garden City Stevens Park.  Registration at starts at 7:30, show runs 9-3.  All proceeds are being donated to KHF.  

September 26, Thursday 6PM.  Wichita area volunteer meeting, Post 4, 816 N Water.   $8 Burgers & Fries/ Potato Salad available starting at 4PM.
