The 2025 Wichita 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.
This event will be held on September 14, 2025 at the Ruffin Epic Center in Downtown Wichita. Our event is honoring the 343 firefighters who lost their lives in the World Trade Center attacks.
Our stair climb will consist of 343 firefighters, from Kansas and surrounding states, climbing 110 stories for those who were lost on September 11, 2001. For our climb, registration will open to the first 343 firefighters who sign up; each firefighter will be assigned a name of one of those who died in NYC. On the day of the climb, those firefighters will wear lanyards with the picture and name of the fallen and will proceed to climb in honor of them.
This year the event is open to the public to participate - Use code Honor2025 .

The event will take place at the Park's Flag Pavilion. Following the National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance and Invocation, Guest Speaker Rick Lowrey (representing Rolling Thunder Inc.) will briefly speak about the history and significance of this event. After the speaker's remarks, a bugler will play Amazing Grace, followed by a 3-volley rifle salute and the sounding of Taps.
